LIVE THROUGH THIS

I was a Hole fan before I was big into Nirvana and this album is the reason why. While this album doesnt have my favorite hole song overall (babydoll off of pretty on the inside) its still an incredibly good album. Whether or not it counts as riot grrrl punk is debatable but I would say no? Courtney's views on the movement definitely affect Hole standing as a riot grrrl band but I would say its really just punk. By classifying Hole as a punk band I can confidently say Live Through This is my favorite punk album of all time and I doubt anything new will ever change that standing.

I wont speak on Courtneys personal views and they dont affect my final review of the album, but I do think its a really good thing to be aware of when listening to Hole's music. Still a great album Courtney love is just a freak lmao

GOBLIN

Prior to writing this review I hadn't actually listed to Goblin all the way through. I'd heard the super popular ones like yonkers, tron cat, and she before but I'd never heard or had to comprehend the amount of weirdo shit Tyler says on this album. Being a Tyler the Creator fan is easily the hardest thing I've ever done especially after listening to Goblin. Overall, I liked it! Tyler makes white people rap but this was a little before it got super obvious and I do think partially that makes it better. Half the things he says are just for shock humor which is lame but whatever I guess.

Tyler is a total freak for everything he said on this though I hope thats clear. I can't even write a formal review for this because thats far from what this album is and I don't hate it but he should definitely be shot in the street for writing tron cat. Fuck Tyler fuck Odd Future and fuck their fans too I cant stand lame niggas

PURE HEROINE

Pure Heroine has been one of my favorite albums of all time since forever. When I was younger it was the kind of sound I associated with growing up, and now that I'm a teen I understand it even more. I think it encapsalates the feeling of being a teen better than anything else I've heard, and I think also is would be a good jumping off point for 2010s music in the future. Lorde is an incredible artist but I don't think any of her later music comes close to the perfectness of Pure Heroine. It's a really special album to me and I'd recommend it to anyone no matter what.
